The Midwest Shippers Association (MSA) and the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) announced today that their joint international conference this year - MSA's 13th annual "Midwest Specialty Grains Conference & Trade Show" and USSEC's fourth annual "U.S. SOY Global Trade Exchange" -- will be held August 30 - September 1, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana USA.
Once again this event promises to be THE most important international soy and grain trading event of the year in the U.S. In each of the last three years that USSEC and MSA have teamed up to host the soy exchange and specialty grains conference, well over 200 international trade buyer teams from over 45 countries have attended, and are anticipated to attend again this year.
This year's conference and trade show will be held at the four-star J.W. Marriott Indianapolis luxury hotel in downtown Indianapolis.
"We've had a great partnership with USSEC in co-hosting an event that has gotten better each year, and we expect the same in 2016," said Bruce Abbe, MSA executive director. "It's become a premier networking event for the international commodity soybean trade; and for the global food grade soybean industry that looks to the U.S. to supply its highest quality soy ingredient products."
Known for hosting America's most famous auto race, the Indianapolis 500 each year, Indianapolis also is the capitol city of a major U.S. soybean and corn producing state.
International attendees coming to the USSEC/MSA conference will also fan out to tour area farm, processing and ag transportation operations in Indiana and other Midwest states on the flanks of this event. August 30 will be the main day for USSEC's trade team buyer/supplier meetings. August 31 and September 1 will be the main days for the conference programs and trade show.
