2016 Conference Recap
The 2016 U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange and Midwest Specialty Grains Conference and Trade Show was a huge success, with record attendance including attendees from over 50 countries.
Attendees were able to meet and relax together at the opening night reception at the Indiana State Museum. Also in attendance was the Indiana Soybean Alliance's Bennie the Bean and USSEC's Soy Boy. While at the reception, people were able to view the galleries documenting Indiana's history, as well as take in a film in the IMAX theater.
The conference officially kicked off the next morning with a speech by Seth Meyer, Ph.D., Chairman, World Agriculture Outlook Board, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of the Chief Economist. His presentation, and all others can be found here. Speakers covered topics ranging from transportation, weather outlook, protein content, as well as aquaculture.
Throughout the conference, the trade show was the hub of activity, a meeting place for meals, and for discussion with potential customers. More than 50 exhibitors and hundreds of attendees were able to network and learn, all taking place just steps away from the education provided over two days at the conference.
We are working hard to bring the same level of quality education and discussion to our event in 2017. Stay tuned to grainconference.org for any news concerning our next event. We look forward to seeing you in 2017!
